Given the high rates of divorce across people of all ages, class and identity, it is important for therapists to understand the changing landscape of divorce. In addition to supporting divorcing clients in therapy, with this increased understanding, therapists can play a positive role in the divorce process.
This presentation will give a brief overview of the divorce process, an understanding of therapist’s roles within the process and a look at how divorce impacts children at different ages and stages of development.
